I love the composition of this painting and the colours are so realistic. The way everything seems a bit blurry brings out the focussed shoulders even better, what seems to add a strenght and frailty at the same time. You have a very good eye for this.

i dont quite know where the bed ends and the bedframe begins, but i think that that bluriness, or softness adds to the feeling of someone who is just waking up. i love how you added a bit of the background color blue into her hair and gown. her gown looks like it's glowing. when i first saw this, it reminded me of sargent's paintings. :) it's beautiful.

Beautiful composition and color. The hand ont he foot looks a touch unnatural. Particularly, the foot looks a bit disembodied and the transition between the foot and the hand is a bit too indistinct. Some hint of leg under the dress to connect the foot would be better. From the foot up, the piece is nearly flawless. Well done! :)

Wonderful! I love your use of brushstokes to create the smooth texture of her skin compared to that of her nightgown and the wall. The highlights, used subtly, work well to present the idea of early morning light. It is amazing the way parts of the painting blur together, for example the nightgown and the bedding. It looks to me as though this just enhances the hazy feeling of first waking up and stretching. The composition is lovely and my eyes are continuously drawn back to her shoulders and her illuminated nightgown that works so well to bring depth into the painting. It's truely beautiful!
